Educator

At Kawenna’ón:we, we provide an immersive, hands-on, and collaborative learning environment where children learn through Kanyen’kéha, storytelling, seasonal cycles, and land-based experiences, with an emphasis deeply rooted in our identity as Rotinonhsyón:ni.
Our program takes an approach rooted in Rotinonhsyón:ni thought and philosophy, with inspiration from Waldorf educational pedagogy.

Custodian (Part-Time)
Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for children, staff, and community members.
This position supports indoor custodial operations and outdoor property maintenance throughout the year. Work will primarily occur outside regular business hours and may vary depending on operational and seasonal needs.
Position Requirements
- Approximately 20–25 hours per week
- Minimum Novice Mid Kanyen’kéha proficiency
- Satisfactory vulnerable sector check
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, washrooms, entrances, offices, and common areas; replenishing supplies; maintaining floors and fixtures; reporting maintenance or safety concerns; supporting waste and recycling management; and completing seasonal outdoor work such as grass cutting, light landscaping, snow removal, salting, and clearing entrances and walkways.
Preference will be given to applicants of Rotinonhsón:ni ancestry. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications and will follow Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na’s compensation structure.
