Exciting opportunities at TTO

Kanyen’kéha Speaker

We recognize the importance for our young children to hear language from fluent, first language speakers. Help us help our children nurture a love for Kanyen’kéha!

Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na is seeking an advanced level proficient Kanyen’kéha speaker to work in our Totahne Language Nest program beginning September 2021. Ideally the candidate would be available for a 30-hour work week (6 hrs/day, 5 days/wk), however part-time employment (2-3 days/week) will be strongly considered. Accommodation and travel expenses can be negotiated with anyone from outside of Kenhtè:ke.

The position would work alongside the Teacher to provide a Kanyen’kéha speaking environment to the children and to reinforce the oral language of the second language speaking teacher.

This is NOT a teacher position, but rather someone with a love of young children and Kanyen’kéha.

For more information, please contact Callie Hill at (613) 970-3045 or callieh@kenhteke.org by Friday, August 13, 2021.
